Reba Takes Down West and 50 Cent 26-Sep-2007 Written
by: Jenna Horan
The country
icon knocks the dueling albums down the charts.
Reba McEntire can add bumping both Kanye West and 50 Cent down the charts to her long career. Her newest record, “Reba Duets,” debuted at number
one, selling close to 301,000 units. On her 31st album, McEntire made use of the friendships she’s cemented during her
many years at the top of the country charts, calling in friends to perform duets with her on the album. Don Henley, Kenny
Chesney, Faith Hill and Kelly Clarkson are just some of the guests on her newest effort.
McEntire has
sold 60 million records during her career, and “Reba Duets” has the honor of being the first to top the Billboard
200. McEntire told the press: “I am beyond thrilled to have my biggest sales week ever with my 31st album. To get to
share it with all my friends on this duets project is icing on the cake!”

Hip Hop News
DX Dirt (Havoc, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Mary Vs Mariah)
September 28th, 2007 | Author: In The Know
Well well well, looks like Havoc had every reason to be running his mouth about
Kanye after all didn't he? It really did wonders for his first week sales that's for sure. What was it he
sold again...4,000. Not hating..just saying it as it is.
So our man Jay coming back again. I mean I guess its not a bad thing, but on
the real, insiders are saying the only reason he is doing this is to see if he can top Kanye's numbers. Talk
about Big Brother knows best. Sibling rivalry at its best going down at Def Jam. Although a lil competition
never hurt anyone. Reeling at the thought of losing to Kanye, Curtis has added more dates
to his European tours where they are sucking up that third album like the last drop of a McDonald's shake on a winter day.
The Europeans can't get enough of 50.
Halle Berry is receiving death threats since she announced her pregnancy,
threats so severe it turns out that the FBI have had to be called in. I am finding this hard to believe as you see Ms
Berry running around her hood all the time with no security and not even her baby's daddy in tow..but hey you just
never know what is going on in La La Land anyway.
The face off between Mary and Mariah, both females were expected
to drop November 20th with double the publicity as Kanye and Curtis, has obviously had Mariah
a lil concerned as she opted to put her album back to December 6th. Looks like the final quarter this year is going to be
as good as last. Mimi knows a pregnant woman isn't a woman to mess with. Damn all those hormones. Yeah I
can see why Mariah was concerned.
Trina's single stolen? Not hating but is it that serious? But we all
love the publicity stunts really.
